An Effective Response to Tragedy and Trauma

One of the biggest challenge for employers is to help staff find an appropriate means of dealing with their emotional and psychological response to a tragic incident.

Employees benefit from the reassurance that early, appropriate psychological support can provide. It helps make them feel safe and secure, promoted effective techniques of recovers, and helps them take the necessary step of a safe return to work.

If handled well, individuals will have felt the experience of being taken care of – that they matter. This improves the individual’s ability to psychologically recover, supports a team in dealing with the collective impact, and enables the workforce take the important and necessary steps to return to normal functioning.
